Children's Fiction Reviews: Lily Alone and Guardian of the Gauntlet

Guardian of the Gauntlet

I received this book for review and I was a little disappointed. I wish there was more plot describing than plot building. Three pages of describing the castle is a little much and even though it was a sixty odd page book it felt like I was struggling to get through it. It was very slow for me and it seems like it could be a ten page book.

Lily alone By Jacqueline Wilson

I really enjoyed this book, it dealt with great issues and I really enjoyed the concept. Lily was such a strong character in the middle and they mother was very in responsible but I loved the book! It is about a girl called lily and there mother leaves them alone at home and then she goes on holiday and leaves them for along period of time. Lily and her two sisters are struggling to eat and live and keep the secret.
